Mathew was her son, now Zach's step-brother. When Zach's mother died, he began to paint, wanting to continue painting for his mother who was a not so famous painter, though still sold paintings. Because his father was out so much, he cooked for himself and Mathew. Taking on the love for cooking, as with his love for painting. Zach grew up practically only living with his step brother. Angula and his father practically never came home. If they day it was only for a few hours before leaving again.
