Lily Isadora McKay
[/center]Name - Lily Isadora McKay[/b] -
Gender - Female
Age - Twenty
Face Claim - Rachel McAdams
Occupation - Dramatic Arts Teacher
Orientation - Straight
Appearance - Lily is the tallest member of her family, standing at 5'6'' and weighing around 130lbs. She's slender but curvy, her body that of a fit swimmer from her younger years of competitive swimming. Her upper body and legs are well muscled and trim. Light skin, her ivory complexion burns easily in the sun. She wishes she could tan, so she doesn't bother to wear sun screen, even though everyone urges her to do so. The unfortunate thing about Lily is her large breasts which could block sunlight from small African countries. At a D 34 she gets stared down at a lot by guys unfortunately.
Her hair is naturally a straight, chocolate brown colour though recently she had it permed. The curls are growing out slightly, leaving her hair wavy. She keeps her hair just above her her shoulders, with lots of volume and short bangs that hang just above her eyes. Her eyes are a gray-blue colour and occasionally change hue in different lights, either becoming more blue or more gray.
Lily prefers to wear more classy clothes that show off her figure rather than what's "in". Fitted shirts, blouses, and jumpers are her favourite, topped off with slacks, jeans or linen shorts. She usually has some sort of hat on, changing from berets to a rather well worn fedora. She matches her clothes well, usually wearing flats on her feet, or small heels and sandals.
Her make up is clearly au naturale as she barely wears any at all. A light powder foundation, she sometimes adds just a touch of blush and some mascara, but she barely needs the mascara as her eyelashes are quite long already.
Personality - To put her personality in words would be a strange thing. There are many aspects to her personality but I'll begin with one's first impression. A seemingly quiet woman, she tends to stay to herself most of the time but can be friendly and speak with others. Somewhat dramatic, she has a lot of exaggeration in her voice and in her movements and is a tad melodramatic at times. Really, she's just insecure of herself and feels the need to perform in order to keep people happy.
She enjoys being by herself most of the time but can enjoy a few select people's company. She's a very nurturing person and though not always the brightest, she is wise beyond her years. It isn't unusual to see people coming to her for advice. She's a very loving and nurturing person and can be seen as maternal. When she gets upset though she can be unreasonable, turning rather self centred and whiny. This doesn't happen often though.
Lily prefers to keep her feelings to herself but has no problem laying her opinions down. She has a strong sense of what's right and wrong but will compromise easily and give and take. She doesn't automatically jump to conclusions and often will see both sides of the picture. She listens well to other people's opinions and tries to merge her ideas with others. She's quite a romantic but can often live in a world of fantasy. Forever optimistic, she also can sing quite well.
Despite being shy, she's a very commanding presence and gives respect just as much as she earns it. Very comfortable in her dramatic shoes, she understands students well, but will also not tolerate disrespectful behaviour. A tough marker, she tries to pull the best out of people which may make he seem mean sometimes, but she just wants to see people develop as much as they can. She likes doing more hands on things, and warm ups and activities. She likes keeping people involved and interested and tries to find the things her students like and incorporate them with her lessons.
History - Easy comes as easy goes, right? Not necessarily. Lily's parents were by far never the perfect parents, and as much as they tried they were doomed from the beginning. A second marriage already, Lily's parents had been trying for a baby since their marriage. Two miscarriages disheartened the happy couple, and so when their third pregnancy came around her mother was reduced to bed rest. Nine months later Lily was born at 6 lbs 1/2 oz to the two proud parents. The only thing was the age difference, that horrible horrible thing called age. When she was born, Lily's mum was 45, her dad almost 50. This was the devastating point in their bond as child and parent.
Upon Lily's birth, her half sister was eighteen and her half brother, twenty one. She had another half sister but she didn't actually know about her until she was six, a strange, foreign red headed girl who her father had had with another woman before her married her mother. A naturally bouncy child, Lily would often force her parents to play with her, and when they wouldn't, the family dog was forced to play with her... by being dragged about the house by his tail. At the time of her birth, all the neighbours were sure that it was in fact her sister who was pregnant and her mother was saying she was pregnant to cover up a scandal. Unfortunately not.
Her mother drowned her in ridiculous clothing - frilly pinafores, pink dresses, collared shirts, and the oh-so-unfortunate bob hair cut she got after her hair grew too thick to manage. On the other hand, her father was a distant man who spent his days working in the basement, and would buy Lily whatever she wanted when she asked for it. By age eight her room was covered in stuffed animals and she owned more VHS movies than some small cities.
This all changed though when Lily turned eleven or so. Her father became verbally abusive and threatening, forcing to kick her out of the house if she misbehaved. Her mother, not liking the situation, told her husband she was leaving him and taking Lily to another town. This set her Lily off, and as much as she hated her father for his cruelty, she didn't really want the family to be separated. She took to violent fits in her classroom and cutting to release anger, becoming rather suicidal and morbid in her middle school years. This also coincided with the loss of her friends after a huge debauchle with a girl who turned all her friends against her. Whoohoo.
So at the ripe age of fourteen, Lily and her mother moved to a different town, and Lily stayed with her sister for half a year. Building a new school life was easy and she fit in quite well in the dramatic part of her school, finding friends and people to spend her time with. She went through several relationships, none withstanding the test of time though and overall she emerged as a fairly decent person despite the horrible arguments she had with her mother through her adolescence.
Going to university was a done deal for Lily as her parents had saved up the money for her. She went for dramatic arts and co-operative education and has now come to Crooked Pass seeking a job in their arts department and looking for a new adventure.
