Crooked Pass Collegiate is a private equestrian boarding school set in the prairies of Canada. It's students hail from all over the globe, most of them hand picked by the school themselves. Besides being a boarding school, Crooked Pass Collegiate is also a school of equestrian. Each student is required to take mandatory riding lessons as part of their schooling. Along with this though there are problems of identity, friends, cliques, gossip and all other aspects of teenage life......

07/11/10 - I know this is early to yell at people, but please make sure that you post your face claim in the face-claim area once you make a character. I did go through and put the links to profiles and new face claims up, but you need to do this yourself so I can update it or I won't be able to keep track. I won't chase after you. - Kiki>
05/11/10 - I sent out an email yesterday to old members. Please be aware if you are an old member and are returning that you will need to change your skin! I will do this for you if I see you coming on, just as an FYI. Also, Kiki has made this post for everyone to read regarding reviving old characters and face claims. Anything you had before the revamp (horses, characters) are still yours, you just need to let us know you want them. Post anything like that in the Planning board. If you're having trouble with the navigation, PLEASE, let me know. Any glitches, etc, also let me know. - Tye
04/11/10 - I officially declare CPC open! There are still a few things that need to be done, but they're just minor stylistic issues. <3 So for now CPC is going to have open gates. I will begin advertising tomorrow and finish up some of the information. c: But feel free to join, roleplay, and have fun! - Tye
18/10/10 - As you can tell, CPC is in the process of being remade. Thanks to Jen for the beautiful banner and background! If you have any suggestions or any glitches please post in the member board. We will slowly but surely be getting all essential information put up, as well as making sure the board looks like how we want it to. - Tye

Basically just an open field, it stretches on for quite a few miles. Crooked Pass owns most of it, but then the rest is just free land that hasn't been claimed yet. A good place to ride if you want to be able to know where you are at all times, but only for the experienced rider as there are some obstacles (rivers, rocks, fences) that could get in your way.
With all the land the school owns, it's no surprise they own much of the mountain and the forest around it. Throughout the forests there are trails, each marked with a degree of difficulty and length. Some of the trails have small clearing off them where you may ride around as well. Staff recommends bringing a buddy, especially if you're unfamiliar with the land.
As horses need somewhere to frolic and graze, the pastures are just out the back of the stables. A good place to just come and watch the horses romp around, the riding rings are out beside it.
All the horses are kept in three large buildings. The stalls are very spacious and cleaned out often. Some students choose to get jobs in the stables as hired hands, and those who own horses and board them here must clean out their own stalls.
The campus grounds are full of different buildings for your classes, dorms, the odd fountain and lots and lots of greenery. Come here to relax beneath a tree, meet up with a friend or just enjoy your time in the sun.
Need to study? Find a book? Or do you just need somewhere quiet? The library is your place then. Boasting over two levels of references, split into sections for each of the four main clusters.
Crowsnest Pass is really too small to have suburbs, but even still the housing complex is called that. Houses of various sorts - town, detached - are found here and can be bought with money.
Wandering through Crowsnest Pass, it's not hard to find the different businesses. Restaurants, coffee shops, and even the off-color setting make their mark at places in the town.
The only movie theatre in Crowsnest Pass, with the exception of any 'home theatres' that people around might have. It's not as big as some others, but it still manages to play good movies when they hit the box office.
Cascading Reflections - or Casc for short is a restaurant that also serves meals during the day, and appetizers at night. Complete with friendly staff, and a good area for mingling, it's a good place to meet people and play some pool.
Sometimes people get sick, or break bones, and illness is inevitable. Crowsnest Hospital is a fairly small place, only two floors high. It's a warm and friendly place, all considering, and is only a ten minute walk from main street.
Want to go hang out somewhere and not worry about being inside, or loitering? The park is a good place to do so. Off to one side is a playground for small children, but there is also a small soccer field and sit out place for people to talk.
Whoever named this mall had a strange way of thinking, but that doesn't deter people from spending all day just walking around and doing nothing here. It's a favourite hangout for teenagers with too much time on their hands and adults who think that they're teenagers. Plenty of stores to choose from, and plenty of items in those stores, this mall can keep you busy for days.
Just off mainstreet, this little plaza has quite a few stores in it. Vinny's Pizza, a Rogers Store, Petro Canada, and a Hasty Market, the plaza is a small yet quaint strip plaza with a green awning over top. Teens can often be seen hanging around the pizza place, or convenience store.
The main entrance is crowded with flowers and bushes. The door is painted a baby blue and it leads to the inside of the office. There are four large doors in the front and back of the barn for horses to enter and leave. These large doors are closed at the end of the day. The office breaks into two rooms--one with a couch, stairs that lead to a living quarters upstairs, and the door that leads out of the room, to the barn--the other has a table, some chairs, another couch, and a TV. That room breaks off to another, which is the bathroom. Once you leave the office, there is a large fence in front of you, which makes the indoor ring. Flanking the ring to the left and the right are six stalls on each side. Three stalls remain at the end of the barn. There is a large gate that leads to the inside of the indoor ring to the middle on the left and the right. The tack room is in the far left hallway. There are two rings at the back and one to the right. The two pastures are to the left.
