...HAIR - Hikari wears her medium-length brown hair in low pigtails slightly behind her ears. Her spiky bangs are untrimmed and a bit too long for her face, hanging on front of her eyes and obscuring her vision. She often pulls a few strands of hair free of her left pigtail and twirls them around her finger when stuck in an awkward situation, then tucking it behind her ear nonchalantly. Because of this, her hair always seems to be a mess.

...EYES - Hikari's unnaturally large eyes gain her a lot of unwanted attention. Comments of "your eyes look like they're about to pop out of your head!" always seem to lurk just around the corner. Other than their size, her eyes are rather normal. They're just a dull brown, and don't reveal much of her character. In pictures, her expression is blank and appears almost drugged. In real life, her eyes are often narrowed with intent thoughtfulness, but rarely anything else noticeable. [/color]
...BUILD - Small and lean little Hikari doesn't have much of a figure to her despite her age. She's short, only about 4'8", and doesn't have much of a chest to her. Although small, Hikari doesn't like being compared to a child. Her face doesn't look any younger than a teenager's-- its just her body that seems to be a bit behind. Doctors suspect that a specific gene halted her growth directly after puberty, keeping her build at an adolescent stage. [/color]
...CLOTHING - On school days, Hikari's outfits are often the same every day, with slight color variations. She wears loose jeans which obscure the figure of her legs, long-sleeved T-shirts, fingerless gloves, and a patterned scarf. Her favorite gloves are black, and her favorite scarf is one reminiscent of the famous internet figure, longcat. Occasionally, on particularly cold days, she will wear a hat. [/color]
...MAKEUP - Hikari does not wear makeup, except for the rare swipe of flavored (cherry) lipgloss when her lips begin to crack. [/color]
...OTHER - Hikari's nationality is half Japanese and half Caucasian-- its a relatively common mix which explains her Japanese name paired with her English surname. She has distinct asian features, but also some things that make her appear a bit more American. Because of this, some people around school have gotten into the habit of calling her "Hikachu," a pun on the name of the sparking yellow mouse creature created by those crazy Japanese. [/color]

...PERSONALITY - To make up for her stature, Hikari has adopted an attitude that's a little less than pleasant. She's got a rather rough attitude-- although she'd rather remain polite towards those she has no reason to talk to or have any quip against, those she can claim to "know" suddenly become aware of her biggest flaw. In order to express her emotions towards friends, her attitude becomes harsh instead of endearing. It is only towards those that she truly loves that she can become honestly sweet, and often with a certain degree of awkwardness. The cold, humorless attitude reserved for outsiders is a boundary difficult to leap over. Hikari is awkward, with a sly sense of humor and a suppressed cleverness. She hates to be judged, and hates to be hated. Her biggest fear, unknown to anyone but herself, is to die alone and unloved, then lose the world itself. The unconsciousness of death isn't what she fears-- its being forgotten and unnecessary.

...HISTORY -
Chiyoko Ishihara moved to New York city to study english, and became a college Japanese teacher. She met and fell in love with a fellow teacher and alcoholic, Randall Collins. They were married in two years, and gave birth to Keiichi Collins. Five years later, Hikari was born. She grew up going to school in New York like any kid, raised mostly by her mother and with little contact with her father as his drinking problem pushed him farther away from his family. When Hikari was 12, he came home drunk and brutally beat her because she was sitting in his chair in front of the television. Hikari was hospitalized for three weeks, having been stabbed, bruised, and broken to a point close to death. Randall Collins was tried for child abuse and attempted murder, and after being divorced by his distraught wife, was put in jail. Hikari developed a fear and hatred of all men from the abuse, and because she kept this affliction a secret, was never seen by a counselor. She took up horseback riding to distract herself, and found that she truly loved being with horses. She applied to CPC in order to get away from her life in New York and spend more time with her horse. [/color] [/blockquote][/size]
